Parents & Carers

A community that cares

Being the parent or carer of a young person who is struggling in mainstream education can sometimes be incredibly challenging. It can feel isolating. You may feel overwhelmed. You might think there’s no support.

When you become part of Falcons Learning, you become part of a supportive school community – for learners, carers and their family.

We do things differently. We are here to help. We listen, we never judge and we work with you to make things better - for your child and your family.

Tap into the knowledge and experience of our expert staff. Ask questions. See if we can help. We often have the answers. But if not, we’ll do everything we can to find someone who does. Working together to help your child thrive.

We make it easy to get in touch

We’re here whenever you need us. Just give us a call or send us an email.

You’re also welcome to join our support sessions every Wednesday, from 2.30pm to 4pm. We usually have tea, cake and friendly conversation - completely free.

If getting here is difficult, just let us know. We can help arrange a lift so you can join us easily.

Promoting positive relationships

Falcons Learning is committed to working in close partnership with parents, carers, schools and outside agencies to create an appropriate culture for all stakeholders that reflects British Values, in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025).

We strive to meet the diverse social, emotional and educational needs of pupils who have been, or who are at risk of being permanently excluded from mainstream secondary schools.

To achieve these aims and in line with the SEND of our learners, our staff will provide pupils who experience difficulties with their behaviour the support they need to gain control over their ability to communicate effectively and safely.

Creating a safe & supportive community

Falcons Learning aims to ensure that all members of its learning community feel welcome, safe and able to learn and make progress. Bullying of any kind prevents this from happening and we take bullying seriously. Staff and pupils must take responsibility for promoting a common anti-bullying approach by being supportive of each other, providing positive role models and conveying a clear understanding that we disapprove of unacceptable behaviour.

Learners, staff, parents and carers should understand that reporting bullying is essential and can be assured that we will support you fully whenever bullying is reported. We have a defined anti-bullying policy and follow a restorative pattern of resolution when dealing with bullying allegations.
